Mexican born Marquinho is an emerging artist who loves the challenges of the unconventional as shown in his work on royal palm fronds.

Each frond is different in size, color and marks, and the way they fall to the ground affects their shape as well making them all unique.

At his Ovum in Ovo studio near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, Marquinho leverages these fronds uniqueness to create his artwork, applying atypic paints over the uneven surfaces and ridged textures to obtain depth and movement.
