Zarya’s Dollhouse

This egg-shaped dollhouse features a wooden frame and a paper-based exterior, with a large front opening and multiple window cutouts. It boasts three stories: a master bedroom on the bottom, a kitchen, dining room, and living room in the middle, and a terrace at the top. Two spiral staircases connect the floors, with the first staircase rotating when a drawer beneath the bedroom is opened or closed.

The kitchen appliances are 100% handcrafted, while some furniture pieces were sourced from Mexico. A charming laundry room, also egg-shaped, connects to the main house via an extending arm. Both the dollhouse and laundry room rotate, offering endless combinations for display and play.

The terrace includes an extending floor with lounge chairs and a tea table.

The concept of two eggs of different sizes is the reason that the gallery was named Ovum In Ovo.

Abominable

Halloween Costume, 2016

This is my award-winning Halloween costume. My whole body would go inside the bottle with my feet touching the ground through an opening at the round base. A rope connected the bottle with the cheese table so they would move together.

I took it to several places including Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Hallandale Beach and Delray Beach.

Prisoner of Your Love

This evocative artwork presents a bright red heart trapped behind rusted prison bars, their texture and color evoking a sense of age and despair. Tiny, heart-shaped drops of blood trail from the heart, symbolizing the pain of unrequited love.

The background mirror amplifies the heart's isolation, creating a haunting, infinite echo of its plight.

The contrast between the vibrant red heart and the decayed, rusted bars highlights the tension between love's vitality and its confinement, and invites viewers to reflect—both literally and metaphorically—on the theme of emotional imprisonment.
